Verseman Opens New Custom Model in Cary

Verseman Development Company’s new fully furnished custom model home just opened at Harvest Glen in Cary.

If Verseman Development Company’s New Year’s resolution was to impress more custom home shoppers than ever before, they’re off to a great start with the recent opening of a unique new luxury model.

Located near the northeast corner of Three Oaks and Hickory Nut Grove Roads in Cary, the new fully furnished custom model residence boasts an array of exciting amenities, eye-catching architectural details, and exquisite materials and finishes—as well as an open floorplan spanning approximately 5,000 square feet.

“This is one of the most elaborate and family friendly model homes we’ve ever built that is sure to leave a strong impression on visitors,” said Greg Wallis, partner with Cary-based Verseman Development. “The range of living spaces, built-in features and fine details in this model showcases our repertoire as a builder of one-of-a-kind residences. And it perfectly represents the high caliber of home we’re capable of building for any customer at either of our two Cary communities—Lyons Ridge and Harvest Glen.”

The four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath model features a spacious kitchen adorned with custom cherry cabinets, Vitara granite countertops, a white painted island and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is adjacent to a sunny breakfast room that opens up to a bountiful family room equipped with a stone fireplace. Other first-floor highlights include a private den, living room, formal dining area, and utility room with bead board wainscoting.

Upstairs, visitors can explore a generously sized master bedroom with a tray ceiling, a well-appointed master bath with architectural columns and a cathedral ceiling, and three additional bedrooms that are spaced apart for extra privacy and each contain roomy walk-in closets. Downstairs, meanwhile, is a 1,000-square foot finished English basement with a 9’ ceiling and a stone fireplace. The home also includes a four-car garage, an expansive front porch, a handsome stone front elevation, a circular driveway and custom brick paver patio, and an upgraded landscape package. The homesite itself encompasses one acre and backs up to a scenic pond.

“The new model evokes a charming New England Nantucket style with touches like the cedar shake siding and rounded columns on the front porch,” said Wallis. “We’ve received many fine compliments about the design, which serves as a nice contrast to the French Country-flavor of our previous model home across the street.”

Wallis added that the new model is also for sale, priced at $999,999 (all prices subject to change without notice) and available for delivery within six months. Until sold, the model will serve as the sales center for both Lyons Ridge and Harvest Glen.

Sales are strong at Lyons Ridge, Verseman Development’s newest community of 28 upscale custom homes located on Three Oaks Road in Cary.  More than 25 percent of the homes have already been sold and first deliveries are now underway, said Wallis.

“Lyons Ridge is the ideal destination for all types of buyers in the market for a completely custom home—including move-up buyers, growing families and professional couples,” he said.

The community’s newest phase offers half-acre-sized homesites, city sewer and water service, an eye-catching land plan boasting scenic cul-de-sacs, sidewalks, a tot lot, and extensive neighborhood landscaping.

Lyons Ridge homes start in the low $500,000s, where Verseman Development can create a completely original home design from scratch and can build to suit any preferred home style. Lyons Ridge homes include all the luxury appointments and extras Verseman Development is known for—such as spacious three-car garages, granite countertops, Jacuzzi whirlpool tubs, Pella windows, and generous landscape packages.

For those who would like to move into Lyons Ridge by March, one custom inventory home is available. Located at 9 Oakdale Ct. and priced at $699,900, this unique two-story residence will include four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, three-car garage, large family room, formal living and dining rooms, full basement with 9’ ceiling and bath rough-in, gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, a half-acre homesite with landscape package, and 3,350 square feet.

Verseman also has a handful of homes and lots remaining at Harvest Glen. For those seeking to build a custom home from scratch, five homesites are available, some backing up to picturesque conservation areas and others which are heavily wooded and amenable to walkout or English basements. Home prices (including homesite) at Harvest Glen start in the low $700,000s.

Harvest Glen shoppers eager to move into a pre-built Verseman home quickly can also choose from two custom inventory residences now available, each offering four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a three-car garage, stone fireplace, custom kitchen with granite countertops, landscape package and a one-acre homesite:
